Tourism is a driving force behind the socioeconomic and cultural development of countries, impacting diverse sectors of the economy, boosting wealth, employment, and the identity of communities. It is effective when it creates a memorable and emotional connection in the tourist experience, leading to positive results. This study addresses the theoretical foundations, historical overview, characteristics, classifications, and types of museums, focusing specifically on the exhibits of the Mola Museum-MuMo. A documentary, exploratory, and descriptive methodology is employed, gathering information from scientific articles, books, theses, institutional documents, and websites. Its objective is to assess the role of the museum as a tourist attraction. The findings suggest that, in the educational field, the Mola Museum-MuMo can facilitate students' understanding of Guna cultural heritage, as they can observe techniques and colors in real time and identify symbols, fostering meaningful learning. In the tourism field, the museum generates a unique and memorable emotional experience when the tourist not only appreciates techniques, colors and designs, but can also understand the meaning and value that this garment has for the Guna people and for the city.
