Abstract

This article is a review of the book of the same name published in May 2022 in the United States (Columbia, SC) by Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), which includes documentary research carried out between January 2021 and March 2022. This exploration conceived from the point of view of Industrial, Organizational and Social Psychology sought to identify the roots, evolution, application, consequences and perspectives of power, understood as a decision-making faculty in the different scenarios of social life (State, government, companies, trade unions and civil society). After all, the political direction and hegemony of dominant factors constitutes a crucial and key phenomenon in the dynamics of all societies, past and present. For this, the perspectives of auxiliary sciences of Psychology were considered and, at the same time, their action and influence in the national and international sphere and the use of power management apparatuses were examined. In the end, an empirical balance of the impact of power on the community was made. The work, in short, glimpses events of great impact on the world scene and warns of their importance by exploiting the analytical and foresight capacity that is consubstantial to Psychology as a science of culture, society and social production.
