This study aimed to analyze the academic level of licensed psychologists registered in Panama. A quantitative approach was used, with a descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out through the analysis of the official licensure verification database of the Technical Council of Psychology, which contains information on the academic background of licensed psychologists in the country. The results revealed that, to date, a total of 7,982 general psychology licenses have been issued in Panama. The majority of professionals—specifically 87.35%—do not hold any specialization; 12.95% have a master's degree, 1.38% hold a specialization, and only 0.50% have completed doctoral studies.
