Abstract

Representative democracy in practical terms is measured by the occupation of spaces of representation, gained through election, votes, consensus, proposal and leadership. The electoral political participation of women, has been a path traced in the first instance by 58 women to which others are added, given the results of the last elections of May 5, 2019. In that sense, we bet to understand that It is a difficult path, where it was necessary to create a political base, first of citizen recognition and then recognition of political rights. It also attempts to provide theoretical elements for the analysis, from the perspective of the parties, representations and typical trends found in the biographical examination of the Panamanian Deputies.
