The different components that are part of the Logistics Platform of Colon (PLC) and its conformation are individually described to develop an initial conceptual model that establishes the interaction between these components in relation to their physical flow of products creating a framework that allows measuring the level of commercial interdependence and sustainability among them. The inexistence of studies documenting these regional issues and the components’ interaction analysis represents an important background to formulate and develop further research.
