With the purpose to learn about the diversity and abundance of Collembola’s families of the corn crop ecosystem without applying agrochemicals, pastures ground and tropical dry forest area, this study was held from October 2011 to March 2012 in the community of San Roque, San Francisco, province of Veraguas. Specimens were collected using pitfall traps, obtaining 11 912 specimens in the corn crop area without agrochemicals, that constitute 60, 92% of relative abundance, distributed in 8 families; 4 687 specimens in the pasture ground area for 23, 76% of relative abundance, distributed in 7 families and 2 995 specimens in the tropical dry forest area, that represents 15, 32% of relative abundance, distributed in 7 families. In the three areas studied, specimens of these families were found: Isotomidae, Entomobryidae, Brachystomellidae, Onychiuridae, Sminthuridae, Dicyrtomidae and Paronellidae. The family of Sminthurididae was also found, but only in the corn crop ecosystem without agrochemicals. The data of this study is recorded as the Collembola’s families giving information about their biology, diversity and abundance in three kinds of ecosystems in Panama.
