Abstract

Tocumen International Airport, S.A. is a public company incorporated as a public limited society currently governed by a corporation. Panama's high level of connectivity has attracted investors and multinational companies to the country. Tocumen Airport is one of the most important airport terminals in Latin America in terms of the number of destinations and traffic being handled. The implementation of a total quality model in airport management is crucial to improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction at Tocumen International Airport, Panama. This article examines how total quality principles can be applied to airport operations management, identifying both the challenges and opportunities this strategy presents. The research seeks to identify the requirements for definitively improving the management of initiatives and procedures to achieve the delivery of quality products and services. Considering aspects such as Senior Management seeking to act as the main driver of Total Quality and creating an environment that guarantees its success, it is concluded that adopting a systematic approach to quality can significantly transform the passenger experience and optimize internal processes.
