In this qualitative research, we investigated the interventions of thirty psychologists in the industrial and organizational area, based on continuous training, theoretical models, instruments and techniques received, their own literary productions, and the contributions made by them, through the various positions held in panamanian organizations and institutions. Categories were described, by sex, specifying the domains and fields of action of psychologists specializing in industrial and organizational psychology, clearly defined by the american psychological association, recognized in the different fields of scientific work. The scientific foundation obtained by psychologists and its application in the subsystems of human talent management has contributed greatly to the development of studies of human resource behavior as a key and valuable element for the improvement of performance, welfare and productivity in panamanian organizations and institutions.
