Abstract

Today is facing a global community, which implies that knowledge and skills must be inclined towards learning that develops comprehensive skills, generating new challenges to overcome from a pedagogical perspective. So, new technologies, the use of blogs, wikis and social networks are the tools that allow to validate, and carry out the teaching task, to other areas of interaction between students, teachers anywhere in the world, on the planet; to exchange and build the aforementioned knowledge, which acquires the condition of available to all.

It means the knowledge revolution that opens the debate on trends in higher education; about what to teach, how to teach and what to learn, including what for; Before which, a consensus is glimpsed, because, although the educational system is conformed on traditional bases, it is evolving, being a certain fact the curricular changes, the educational paradigm, the educational transformation is no longer future but present.

It requires giving answers, providing the value that today's society demands; in a global economy based on knowledge, but on knowledge where knowledge is important, in terms of understanding it and critically analyzing it; in using them in a creative, innovative and sustainable way. Then, it proposes a change, a turn to the curricular contents enunciated in traditional teaching, in the role of the teacher, in the participant, which encourages the acquisition of habits and skills for the search, selection and treatment of knowledge; definitely, teaching and learning methodologies will have to be rethought.
