Abstract

This article addresses one of the most famous problems of antiquity: "Quadrature of the circle". It presents some solutions to the problem, which can be used as a resource in the teaching - learning process; and how their linkage in teaching can improve students' expectations for Mathematics. In attempting to solve, the geometric construction of concepts as simple as: midpoint, parallel lines, perpendicular lines, circles, squares, segment reasons, area calculations, among others, are required at the time of learning. Give it more importance.
