Abstract

Disability care and the promotion of the inclusion of students with disabilities has become, in recent years, an imperative for the different educational institutions. This impacts, especially, the universities because within their campuses a multiplicity of populations tend to coexist, each one with an origin and with its own customs and needs. In this sense, the different elements that impact the phenomenon of inclusion at the disability level were consulted. It was noted that one of the most relevant elements is, precisely, the curriculum because it condenses all the strategies and tools that will be implemented throughout the exercise of educational work. In view of this, limitations were found in the current curricula when it comes to addressing the problems arising from the inclusion of disability in university activities. This fact limits the capacities of the generality of the student body, to the point that it discourages the continuation of the educational process. Therefore, it can be said that it is necessary to structure and apply adjustments of a diverse nature in the curricula that serve as the basis for higher education.
