The article analyzes the use of virtual platforms and tools, as a means of communication between teachers and students, in times of crisis. Likewise, it refers to the experiences lived during the pandemic years, by the Covid-19 in Panama. Indeed, we will observe how the media go from transmitting, informing and selling products, services or ideas, to being educational media, since, due to the pandemic, new challenges arose in the teaching-learning process. Therefore, in the educational system, in Panama, technological educational platforms and tools are implemented, and the training of teachers of all educational levels is emphasized, thus achieving the necessary skills to be able to supply students with the corresponding contents.
