The selection of the research topic was considered because the economic, logistical and commercial impact was relevant for all actors participating in international trade operations of goods in transit through the Panama Canal. The objective of the research was to describe the commercial impact due to the delay in the logistics connectivity of the Panama Canal during the year 2023. With the review of the literature, an inventory of the sources of information was conducted considering the events and circumstances that They are currently affecting the delay and subsequent congestion that affects commercial vessels that use the Canal to carry out bi-oceanic transit. In the analysis of the information, the article offers a proposal to address the challenges facing the Canal, in other words, workable solutions provided by both experts, the Panama Canal Authority and the author are revealed, considering the development of the investigation, allowing the interpretation of the results.
