Abstract

Cybersecurity and cloud computing have become essential pillars for educational transformation in the digital age. The adoption of cloud services promotes pedagogical innovation by providing collaborative environments, remote access, and analytical tools that enhance institutional management and teaching-learning processes. However, fully harnessing their potential depends on the proper implementation of security and governance protocols that ensure data protection, technological equity, and the sustainability of educational systems. This study, based on a systematic review of academic sources, institutional reports, and technical guidelines, examines best practices for implementing a secure and reliable educational cloud. The findings highlight the relevance of identity and access management, data encryption, backup systems, and incident recovery planning. Likewise, the establishment of governance frameworks that include risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and transparent agreements with digital service providers is emphasized. Educational cybersecurity not only safeguards privacy and data integrity but also strengthens operational continuity and institutional trust. Ultimately, cloud security is recognized as a strategic axis to foster innovation, reduce the digital divide, and promote sustainable models that harmonize technology, education, and environmental responsibility.
