The ecotourism activity is a tool for conservation, which produces benefits in the communities, provided that it is planned, managed and regulated in an appropriate manner. However, it is essential that it be controlled, because its consequences would have negative results in the places where it develops. The management of these impacts, positive and negative, is crucial for the development of a sustainable ecotourism activity. In the case of the Emberá Drúa Community, the study of these impacts is significant given that it is located within the Chagres National Park, and on the banks of the middle course of the Chagres River, where the arrival of national and foreign tourists who visit this place impact to some degree the natural environment. This study develops a diagnosis of knowledge, skills and practices on environmental pollution and presents alternatives to the problem such as holding meetings, talks, seminars to the members of the community on environmental education; solid waste management and recycling. The aim is to train and organize the community on environmental issues with the authorization of its authorities, in this case Nokó. These activities must be permanent and continuous so it is necessary to internalize them in the community, taking advantage of the interest expressed by all the members in improving the situation.
