Abstract

Academic performance is the evaluation of the knowledge acquired in a superior environment. The objective of study of this article is the relationship of influence that exists between the academic
performance and the economic level of the students of the Industrial Engineering career of the University of Panama. The object of research will be the academic performance of university
students and the economic level factor that influence the academic result. For this, a survey of 6 questions was applied to 20 students of the Industrial Engineering career of the University of Panama.
The study was carried out through an analytical, explanatory and descriptive method that is based on the analysis of the economic levels that exist in Panama and the factors that affect the academic
performance of university students, where it was concluded that the academic performance of University students at the University of Panama are affected by their economic level.
