Abstract

Labour risk prevention is a transversal discipline in the business, which covers different topics, from technology and traditional sciences (chemistry, biology, pharmacy) to business or legal management, so it is not possible to place it in none of the classic fields of university education (scientific, health, technological, socio-legal or humanities).

This paper describes the concept and scope of labour risk prevention and its role to minimize the accidents and occupational diseases, followed by its relationship with industrial safety. The paper establishes the relationship between industrial safety and the field of risk prevention, and highlights that the application of the regulations of the industrial sector, which in Spain is regulated by Law 21/1992 of Industry and the regulations that develop it in the electrical field, thermal installations, natural gas or oil installations...
