Abstract

This article has as purpose to apply the sustainable concepts of green engineering in the designs of industrial production systems to achieve sustainable management. Within the three dimensions: economic, social and environmental, the development model can be classified as sustainable, if it is economically viable, fair or equitable from a social point of view and bearable over time from an environmental point of view. Through the identification of the concepts of sustainable production related to the processes that converge in the designs of industrial systems, the review of the factors responsible for their evolution towards sustainable management and finally, the demonstration of their sustainable link according to with compliance with the principles of Green Engineering. With the elements of Green Engineering, the proposal will be developed that will conclude that, in order to guarantee compliance with the sustainability of the production systems, it is mandatory that the production companies apply a guide sheet as a tool to qualify whether the design of the production system it is sustainable, based on the principles of green engineering in each decisive stage of its design, based on this result, it can implement an optimal and effective system that allows managing and improving its management, operation and valuing the product with sustainable attributes.    This article will expose and analyze the concepts applied to sustainability indicators in the design process of industrial production systems and their relationship with green engineering, from a qualitative practical approach described in a guide sheet as a qualifying tool for defined sustainability qualities. from green engineering principles into a production system design.
