Abstract

In the descriptive analysis of the year 2022 in Panama Oeste, District of La Chorrera, an exhaustive investigation was carried out to analyze the wastewater treatment systems. Key aspects such as infrastructure, capacity, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and compliance with environmental regulations were evaluated. The objective of the research is to Analyze the Wastewater Treatment Systems to Improve the Management and Protection of the Environment in the Urban Areas of West Panama, District of La Chorrera, 2022. The evaluation focused on the treatment plants and the processes to eliminate contaminants and comply with the established quality standards. Treatment capacity was analyzed about the region's wastewater load, considering energy efficiency and associated costs. The research methodology is quantitative and analytical, statistical tools and data analysis techniques were used to obtain accurate and reliable results. The result was that approximately 60% of the wastewater treatment systems in Panama West's urban areas have deficiencies in treatment capacity and compliance with environmental regulations. These results indicate the urgent need to improve and strengthen existing systems to ensure proper management of wastewater and protect the environment in the District of La Chorrera. In conclusion, the results obtained will provide detailed information on the state of the systems, identifying strengths, and weaknesses and proposing improvement strategies.
