In order to contribute to the generation of cleaner technologies, an evaluation of the extract of Azadirachta indica, for control of ticks (Boophilus microplus), at the El Ejido Experimental Station, IDIAP-Los Santos, Panama, was carried out at the bioassay level. Five treatments and four replications / treatment were evaluated. The treatments studied: T1 = Amitraz at 20.8%; T2 = Water; T3 = 1% Neem seed solution; T4 = 3% Neem leaf solution; And T5 = 50% Neem bark solution. The data were analyzed in SAS, whose results indicated: T1, 85%; T2, 10%; T3, 80%; T4, 75%; And T5, 80% mortality respectively. There were no significant differences between Neem treatments compared to conventional treatments. In livestock farms, using Neem seed extract, the frequency between baths varied from 47 to 154 days, demonstrating the efficiency of the product, economic and environmental benefits. All treatments based on Neem showed effectiveness in tick control, with greater control being observed with the use of Neem seeds and bark extracts.
