Nurses have been present in nursing care during the global context of the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore, coping strategies to deal with the situation have become essential. This research identifies the coping strategies used by nurses and the benefits of these strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an integrative review of original studies published from March 2020 to June 2022, both in Spanish and English. We start the structured questions: What are the coping strategies used by nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic? What benefits did they bring? Line of research: Nursing Practice. Databases used, PUBMED, EBSCO Host, LILACS, SCIENCE DIRECT, BVS, SCIELO, MENDELEY and REDALYC. The strategy that provided the most benefits to the nurses was self-efficacy, as it allowed them to assess their ability to cope with high levels of stress, followed by problem-focused (PFC), emotion-focused (EFC) and resilience development.
