Abstract

The main objective of the research was to determine the influence of government spending on health and education on the growth of the Panamanian economy measured by the Real Gross Domestic Product for the years 1996 to 2019 through the application of partial correlations, to later determine a multiple econometric model that allows the forecast of the study variables and thus offers proposals for improvements in the execution of such expenses. The results explain that there is a significant influence of government spending on health on the growth of the economy but not on spending on education, so we proceeded to look for possible improvements to this relationship.
