Intercultural training plays a very important role for foreign language professionals, including bachelors on Spanish language teaching, who need to get ready for interaction with subjects and communities that practice the target language, for cultural diversity, as a response to the need for better coexistence and understanding between cultures in today's world. The objective of this article is to analyze theoretical and methodological references related to the concept of intercultural training and evaluate its didactic importance in the context of the Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language for Non-Spanish Speakers at Universidad de La Habana. After a deep review of the scientific literature related to the topic and after systematizing the most relevant theoretical references from the perspective of sociolinguistics and lingo didactics, the authors arrive at essential keys of the notion of intercultural training of the foreign language professional.
