Abstract

The purpose of this work is to establish what type of factors can positively affect the digitalization process of local governments in Latin America and what are the particular conditions in the region that must be considered. To this end, three main axes are operationalized, defined as 1. State Policy, 2. Cybersecurity and 3. Integrated platform, and are analyzed in the cases of Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile, to determine the degree of digital maturity that these cities have and how they can serve as a reference for other similar cases. Finally, the areas of opportunity that still exist are exposed and contributions are made in this regard.
