Abstract

This work is part of the social economics research line of the Faculty of Economics. Its objective is to know the perception of Fintech and banking by Finance and Banking students at the Coclé Regional University Center. The methodology used has a descriptive level of depth, the variables are quantitative and a cross-sectional social science design. A digital survey was used to collect the information, which was validated by a panel of three experts. The sample was made up of 24 regular students in the first semester of 2024.

The instrument was applied during the first week of the first semester of 2024, revealing that the students surveyed are concerned about the depersonalization of user service, which emerges as a valid concern of those surveyed. When answering the selected options, 50% of the selected options mostly concentrate that there are disadvantages in Fintech in Panama and position other countries with greater ecosystems.

They consider that the main advantage of fintech is cost savings, with the concern of its regulation. In conclusion, the biggest concern is the depersonalization of user service. Respondents are concerned about the lack of regulation of Fintech and the greatest advantage is cost savings and user satisfaction of the service.
