We will outline the main factors of exclusion and social vulnerability in young women, paying special attention to the way in which gender relations constitute an axis that structures inequality, which is reinforced by other types of discrimination such as social and ethnic origin. Levels and forms of social incorporation and the origins of the exclusion factors that affect them are analyzed. A review is made of the economic, social and relational conditions of the young women, focused mainly on those factors of social exclusion, collecting some recent findings on the subject and pertinent statistical data.
