Abstract

In this article, we explore the transformation of music in the audiovisual industry, focusing on the contributions of three prominent authors: Mark Slobin, Michael D. Donelly, and Emmanuel Legrand. These scholars have left a significant mark on the field, approaching how music is integrated into television and film productions. Mark Slobin, an American ethnomusicologist, has devoted his research to on screen. Focus on specific genres has influenced the practice of music in the industry.

Finally, Emmanuel Legrand gives us a panoramic view of the history and current practices in the audiovisual industry. His work ranges from music in films to creative collaboration in virtual environments. Legrand has explored how technology, such as virtual reality, impacts music-making and the viewer's experience. Together, these authors allow us to understand how technological advances have revolutionized music in television and film productions, offering new creative opportunities and improving efficiency in the production process.
