Bioethics would be a discipline that openly aims to have a practical impact, in other words, to direct the conduct of human beings in given situations, in the face of choices that involve judgments and the making of controversial resolutions. Therefore, it cannot be limited to being only a discourse addressed to specialists or a debate among intellectuals. Beyond creating a doctrine, the function of bioethics is to be able to make the public conscience mature, which could lead people who are part of social communication, at the moment of informing, to do it in a correct way. Having said that, this article aims to prove how important bioethics and human rights are for the social communication professional. In the process of data collection, the explanatory study was used, with the purpose of projecting detailed information about bioethics and human rights in the social communication professional, bibliographic citations will be used to follow up the research, and above all, to understand more about the different concepts presented on the subject.
