Abstract

This research aimed to know the prevalence of gambling in a group of students from the Faculty of Economics of the Regional University Center of Veraguas. Descriptive study with a non-experimental quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 53 students and the South Oaks Gaming Questionnaire (SOGS) was used. According to the results, it was found that the subjects evaluated were 16% non- pathological gamblers and 84% risk gamblers, thus concluding that these students presented a tendency to practice weekly games of chance such as the lottery, followed by the game of bingo and cards.
