The article argues that under President José Raúl Mulino repression increased in Panama after Law 462, revealing a pattern of protest criminalization, due-process violations, and attacks on indigenous communities, unions, and teachers—indicating an authoritarian drift and the need for independent investigations and stronger democratic participation.
