Abstract

Belvosia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830, is a genus of New World Tachinid flies, that comprising 78 species, from Canada to Argentina, being considered an important parasitoid of different insect groups, mainly Sphingidae, Noctuidae and Arctiidae (some species of last one was moved to Erebiidae) and Saturniidae caterpillar. This note records specimens of Belvosia ciliata Aldrich as parasitoid of Rothschildia Silk moth (Rothschildia sp.) for first time, also previous parasitic
