Abstract

Uterine fibroids are benign tumors that freq uently appear in women in reproductive age. Sometimes they are asymptomatic but may produce irregular bleeding, pelvic pain and ínfertility. Even if their physiopathology is not known but still we have a varíety of surgical and medical treatments. Still today's investigations have not delivered a final answer for prevention and treatment.
