Circulatory system illnesses are the main cause of death in Panama. At international level, several database of Acute Coronary Syndrome have been done. With the data collected in these registrations, important advances in the management of this disease have been achieved, increasing life expectancies of these patients.Among the studies that we compared in this review, we have, the “GRACE” study, that is an observational prospective multinational database of patients hospitalized with Acute Coronary Syndrome; the “EUROASPIRE II” study, that was carried out in the european population; the “ESSENCE” study, where they compared the use of heparin between patients; the “OASIS” study, where they compare the management of patients with this pathology in different countries of the world; and the “NRMI” registration, carried out exclusively in United States citizens.
