This is the case of a female patient, 61 years old, who was admitted because of an acute pyelonephritis and diabetes mellitus with hyperglycemia. When the medical history and the physical examination were completed, we considered to research on the etiology of some cutaneous lesions, which seemed to be of bening nature. However, due to the cutaneous lesions characteristics and their evolution it led us to take some cutaneous biopsies. These biopsies led us to the paralel diagnosis of cutanous T-cell lymphoma, a very uncommon disease. We have considered to publish this article due to important implications; both for the outstanding aspects of the disease, and the need to rule it out between other dermatosis diagnosis.
Our case is known as mycosis fungoides, according to specific diagnostic criteria, a T-celll lymphoma variant, and not Sézary syndrome. The reasons will be explained in the article that follows.
