A 32 year old woman comes for medical attention because of two months with symmetrical migratory arthritis, fever, red eyes, photophobia and blurred vision. Lately, she presented skin lesions on her legs and finally with ulcers of her oral mucosa and tongue, dysphagia and hoarse voice.
On physical examination it was found vaginal ulcers and bilateral uveitis, features that make you think on Behcet disease, also known as "the disease of the silk route" because of its high frequency on silk producing countries as Turkey; although is not that frequent in our area, it has to be included as a differential diagnosis because its diagnostic criteria are easily clinically determined.
