Abstract

Cushing's syndrome is a set of symptoms caused by Ihe excess of circulating glucocorticoids . It is an ample term , because it includes patients with different physiopathologies, but with a same phenotype. Few diseases exist where the appearance of the patient and the characteristics of physical examination are so uselul to suspect the diagnosis. We present the case of a female patient, 35 years old , wilthout pathological antecedents of importance, who displayed a clinical picture of approximalely 1 year of evolution, presenting multiple alterations in its corporal image and mood. As we studied, and correlated her clinical hislory, the physical examination and biochemical, metabolic and hormonal alteratlons, wilh imagenology, we arrived al Ihe diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome secondary to a functioning adrenal mass. Treatment was laparoscopic adrenalectomy.
