Neuroblastoma is the most common childhood intra -abdominal malignancy and the most frequent childhood extracranial solid tumor. It is a poorly differentiated neoplasia derived from neural crest cells that typically occurs in infants and young children.
We are presenting a case study of a two-years and 8-months-old male patient who is admilted for anemia, with a previous history of claudication on walking, with pain in the left hip and weight loss since a previous month. During his hospital stay, it became palpable an abdominal mass consistent with splenomegaly which had not been apparent on initial evaluation. An abdominal ultrasonogram was performed; it revealed a solid, heterogeneous, moderately vascularized large mass. After a biopsy and relevant studies, the diagnosis of stage IV neuroblastoma with abdominal rnass. metastasis to scalp and bone marrow was made.
