In the last years, surprising surgical techniques have been developed. These advances necessarily imply a knowledge in detail of the ear anatomy and makes necessary that the surgeon develops a three dimensional image of the temporary bone. In this work, we will study the temporary bone through serial horizontal cuts with the intention of exposing some anatomical concepts that are very useful in the surgical processes of the ear.
