Kawasaki disease is an acute pathology with an unknown etiology: characterized by fever of five days or more, polymorphous exanthema, congestion of the ocular conjunctivae, reddening of the lips and oral cavity, in children less than four years. We present a case study of a 20 month old patíent with the following c1inic characteristics: fever, rash of the distal extremities with central progression, associated prurítus, congestíon of the ocular conjunctivae and edema in hands and feet. Treatment consisted on the application of intravenous gammaglobulin to which fever persisted 48 hours later with vasculitís, reason why a second applícation is ad'ministrated wíth the expected results. The echocardiograph and radiograph findings didn't reveal further complications.
