Abstract

The Case Report and Bibliographic Review Committee of the Panamanian Medical Students Association, founded in 2004, is one of the most solid scientific organizations of the University of Panama Medical School, despite its years of existence.It aims to promote continuing medical education and encourage the development of clinical skills in the undergraduate, in order to raise this university’s medical students’ level of academic and professional interest. This article will document how the Committee originated, the causes of its inactivation, its reactivation, evolution, achievements, goals, and its current difficulties. While recognizing the selfless work of its founders, reactivators, and all those who were once a part of the committee and left their mark in it.
