Forensic Medicine is a medical specialty that adapts the medicine knowledge to the crime investigation. It uses the forensic or legal approach of several scientific disciplines to give answer to multiple questions that authorities require in each investigation.
Despite the fact of been very popular in the means of communication, is most of the time very unknown, even to the health ?s professionals and, what is worst, to those people who every day takes support from it.
In this review, we will explain how the Forensic Medicine has been one of the several scientific disciplnes , in which the molecular biology advances have had a great impact, mainly in the medicine-legal individual's and body fragments' identificacion. Futhermore, we will present the legal aspects that regulate its practice in Panama.
