Human inmunodeficieney virus infection can lead to multiple genitourinary manifestationes. HIV infection can compromise each of the major organs associated with the urogenital system: opportunistic infections, unusual malignancies and impaired bladder and renal function. The natural history of the disease processes is influenced by the patient inmune status. Also, HIV treatment can induce damage to the genitourinary tract. All of these aspects will be discussed in this review.
