This essay aims to show how soft skills are important in the face of the new perspectives of the labor market brought by globalization, bearing in mind two of them: assertive communication and teamwork. In the area of human resources, soft skills have been considered one of the best tools to achieve the objectives of the organization, and these can be studied in the general plan under three perspectives: those that are acquired with the passing of the years, those that can be obtained over the course of life, and those that can be enhanced through specific training. While some are strengthening and developing more than others, in the workplace it is necessary to differentiate to promote those that lead to a better work environment and increase productivity.
