Abstract

The species Hemikyptha marginata (Heteroptera: Membracidae) is registered for the first time for Panama, specifically for the Caribbean slope of the province of Bocas Del Toro, we presume the association of this insect with a plant species, Clibadium grandifolium SF Blake, 1924 (Heliantheae: Asteraceae); the two specimens were perched on leaves and stem of this plant that is well distributed and abundantly in the collection area.
