A descriptive research was carried out in the Alanje District, Chiriquí Province, Republic of Panama, in order to make a diagnosis on the agrochemical containers management in the rice production (Oryza sativa). Subsequently, a survey system was applied to 22 farmers to understand how these materials are disposed of after use in the field. According to the results, the participants agreed that the management practices of these wastes frequently carried out are not environmental friendly; since the most common is burning them. In conclusion, there is a need to develop alternatives for the adequate collection of empty agrochemical containers and a recycling program.
