This study evaluates a process of strengthening the Zapallal Community Savings and Loan Association in Santa Fe, Darien, based on community participation and a proposal for sustainable growth in the medium term. A qualitative and exploratory approach was used, with techniques such as interviews and participatory workshops, to work with 17 active members. The results show significant growth in terms of participation and individual and community contributions, thanks to the collaboration and commitment of the members. However, it faces challenges in terms of management and administration. It is recommended to undertake an organizational strengthening process and diversify services, establish alliances, and promote a reserve fund. At the community level, efforts should be made to improve the structure of the organization, promote training, and establish incentive systems and partnerships with other institutions. In conclusion, the importance of participation and collaboration in the success of community organizations is highlighted, and specific actions are suggested to strengthen and improve the impact of the Zapallal Community Savings and Loan Association on community growth.
