Abstract

The description of the embryonic and pre-metamorphic development in Engystomops pustulosus (Tungara frog) is presented by means of daily photographs, taking as a basis for the descriptions the morphological changes. The study was carried out with individuals in captivity at the University of Panama. The individuals of E. pustulosus completed their development in approximately 20 days.
