In this paper, we present the results of the analysis of the data of global solar radiation, collected by the meteorology section of the Panama Canal Commision, in the years between 1985 and 1995 at the Balboa FAA station, located on the Pacific coast, at the entrance of the Panama Canal, and sunshine data collected at the Tocumen Station by the Depariment ofHydrometeorology of the Institute of Hydmulics Resources and Electrification (IRHE). Based on this information, it has been possible to determine the relative solar radiation and the relative sunshine level, which are related in a linear form by the Angstrm-Page mo del. This made possible the calculation of the coefficients a and b for this model applied to the Panama province, during the period from 1985 to 1995. The mean values of a and b corresponding to the highest correlation coefficients are 0.29 and 0.40, respectively. It was also possible to compute the monthly clearness index for the years between 1985 and 1995, information that will be ofimportance for future computations.
