The Didymozoidae trematode family parasitizes a diverse range of marine fishes, including serranids. In Panama, the grouper Epinephelus labriformis holds commercial significance, and there is limited information available regarding parasites associated with this species. As part of a project aimed at understanding the parasitofauna in certain groupers from the Panamanian Pacific, this study presents partial information on the subject. A total of 83 specimens of E. labriformis were collected and processed from the Las Perlas archipelago in the Gulf of Panama, of which 14 exhibited morphologically identified parasitic forms within the Didymozoidae family. These results allow us to report, for the first time, the presence of these trematodes in this fish species in Panamanian waters.
