Abstract

The accelerated development in the chemistry of hydrosoluble ligands and their metallic complexes has allowed the introduction of catalytic biphasic processes in the industry and the advance in the study of supported liquid phase catalysis. The supported aqueous phase catalysis (SAPC) is a special case of supported liquid phase catalysis. In the present work, the principles of SAPC and the main tendencies and perspectives in the research and development of different products using this technique are described.
